Correspondence Manager

The Correspondence Manager processes incoming letters and emails, gathers information and data, and formulates a reply. They process all basic outgoing correspondences and thank you letters and cards. They also coordinate and supervise the volunteers for all mass mailings.

Sorting Volunteer

The Sorting Volunteer assists with the processing of donated food, clothing, baby items, household items, non-food items, and personal hygiene items, items. The process includes sorting, tagging, the rotation of items, displaying, and disposing of donated items.

Preferred Skills: Organization, Critical Thinking, Inventory Management,

Time Commitment: 10-20 Hours Per Month on Wednesdays between 11am - 3pm

Public Relations Coordinator

The Public Relations Coordinator has three primary responsibilities. 1) They help enhance our visibility in the local community through planning, executing and hosting periodic Open Houses at the South Jersey Dream Center (SJDC). 2) They are responsible for coordinating individual visits with the general public, corresponding with potential visitors, and providing excellent customer service to visitors to the SJDC. And 3) they develop, plan and execute special and seasonal events designed to reach out to and provide resources and services to the people we serve.

In-Kind Donations Coordinator

The In Kind Donations Coordinator is the liaison between retailers, individuals, organizations, and businesses that host drives and/or donate food, clothing, household items, baby items, personal hygiene items, and services. They also reach out to local retailers to develop new partnerships and request in-kind donations.

Pickup and Delivery Driver

Responsible for making sure donated goods, supplies, packages, and/or products are transported efficiently and safely, and serves as a representative of the South Jersey Dream Center in the community with excellence, friendliness, and professional courtesy.

Volunteer Coordinator

The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the South Jersey Dream Center (SJDC) has enough volunteers to fulfill its service mission. This involves volunteer recruitment, training, scheduling, and recognition event planning.

Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant performs a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, including providing support to our managers and volunteers, assisting in daily office needs and managing the South Jersey Dream Center’s general administrative activities. The Administrative Assistant responsibilities include making travel and meeting arrangements, preparing reports and maintaining appropriate filing systems.

Digital Marketing Support

The Digital Marketing Support person assists with the South Jersey Dream Center (SJDC) website, email marketing, and social media platforms.  Their responsibilities include developing content, ensuring all content is up to date, creating and managing marketing campaigns, measuring the success of specific web and social media pages, search engine optimization (SEO) and marketing (SEM) strategies, and ensuring that all digital platforms are performing at optimal capacity.

The Director of Assistance Programs is responsible for the operational success of the South Jersey Dream Center Marketplace. The Marketplace is where we distribute the following donated products, which are divided into departments: food, clothing, baby items, household items, and personal hygiene items to low income and struggling families. The Director ensures seamless team management and development, program delivery, and quality control in each product department.

The Marketplace Food Department Coordinator provides supervision, oversight and management of the Food Department of the Marketplace. volunteers and oversees the stocking, display, safe handling, and distribution of donated food items.

The Marketplace Support Coordinator provides supervision, oversight and management for all the departments that interact personally and directly with our guests that are receiving resources. These departments are Registration, Hospitality, Guest Relations, and Agency Collaboration at the Marketplace.

Marketplace Security and Parking Coordinator

The South Jersey Dream Center (SJDC) Marketplace is where we distribute food, clothing, baby items, household items, and personal hygiene items to low income and struggling families. The Security and Parking Coordinator develops, coordinates, and oversees a security team that ensures the proper protective measures needed to keep the South Jersey Dream Center (SJDC) campus safe and secure. They also develop, coordinate and oversee the plan and parking lot volunteers that ensure the proper flow of traffic for guest curbside transfer of goods, guest parking, VIP parking, and incoming and outgoing vehicles.

Marketplace Building and Grounds Manager

The South Jersey Dream Center (SJDC) Marketplace is where we distribute food, clothing, baby items, household items, and personal hygiene items to low income and struggling families. The Marketplace Building and Grounds Manager plans, organizes and supervises all functions of the Marketplace facility, including the areas of safety, maintenance, grounds, custodial, cleanliness, cardboard, pallet and garbage removal, and oversight of building and repair projects as assigned.

Director of Education and Training

At the South Jersey Dream Center (SJDC), we start with helping out with food, clothing, household, baby, and hygiene items. Then begins the personal, spiritual, and professional training. We develop the whole person. The Director of Education and Training oversees all facets of planning and strategy of the Life Skills and Discipleship Programs, including the training of all teachers and coordination of all presenters.

Board Member

The Board will support the work of the South Jersey Dream Center (SJDC) and provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance. While day-to-day operations are led by SJDC’s Executive Director(ED), the Board-ED relationship is a partnership, and the appropriate involvement of the Board is both critical and expected. The Board oversees the SJDC’s assets and makes sure that the SJDC is on sound financial footing. Active oversight includes assisting with strategic and organizational planning, fundraising and resource development, monitoring the SJDC’s programs and services, enhancing the SJDC’s public image, assessing its own performance as the governing body of the SJDC, and maintaining legal and ethical accountability for its staff and volunteers.
